Step back in time on a route visiting some of south-west Cornwall's historical sites. The route is a circular mix of mud, track and coastal trail from Penzance train station.
The first ten miles cut through the heart of Penwith via the fields, moorlands and beacons. Stop at Carn Eunys Iron Age village and admire the panoramic views from Sancreed and Carn Brae beacons.
On reaching the Atlantic the route turns south following the South West Coast Path. Points of interest include Lands End (the most south westerly point of the United Kingdom), the impressive stacks of Enys Dodman and the Armed Knight, smuggler's caves, fishing villages and the impressive naturally carved Minack theatre.
Make a day of it, pack some sandwiches and marvel in this stunning part of the British Isles!
